Hello dear, I generally consider the age to be irrelevant to any learning process. I think the only thing that one needs, is the appetite and curiosity to learn. If you would like we could have a first lesson in my house in Neukölln and try out how it feels. Let me know
what is your name by the way?

Hello, I don't thin there's any age limitations really. I have recently started teaching an 85 year old lady and after a few months she can already play simple songs she likes.

Hello! It seems to me that it is always possible to start studying, especially if you like it! You have to take it as a game, it's the best way. Likewise, a lot of responsibility is necessary in the process, are you ready?

That is a trick question. I am also on my late 30s and I started dancing ballet. Will I ever go to perform in public? It will depend on how much I practice, but for sure I won't go to the Deutsche Oper Bühne. Maybe ballet is a bit more extreme because it's body demanding, but it's a good comparison to answer to that question. There are many factors that influence your learning process, but I would definitely encourage you to start the path and see how does it feel for you. Music is a very rewarding activity.

Never too late to start! Being flexible and realistic with your goals is very helpful. While "...to become a concert pianist" is a bad goal, it's not exactly flexible in regards to the result whereas "to be comfortable playing the piano in front of others" allows plenty of flexibility in both what you play as well as achieving your goals.

Hello. I think it's never too late to start learning again. I have taught plenty of adult beginners who were able to make real progress and feel confident playing piano.
Would you like to arrange a trial lesson with me some time to see how you like it?

It is never too late to learn! The question is what your goals are. If you want to be a professional pianist and travel the world playing concerts, it may be too late (though perhaps not; who knows?). But if you just want to learn for yourself, there is no limit. I've taught a number of people in their 70s and even 80s. They were a joy to teach. My advice: Be ready to accept that you'll be a beginner for a while, get a good teacher who will both inspire and challenge you, and do what they say. Do the work, and you will get there, one step at a time. Also, be willing to do the work to keep yourself inspired. Go to concerts. Find artists you like listening to and remind yourself, 'If I keep at this, I could sound like that some day.' Dig in and enjoy!

I think it’s never too late to start learning piano! I have 2 adult students who start to learn from beginning, both are late 30s.
One has learned for 2 years and she can now play and read intermediate level music. :)
