About the teacher

I am very comfortable with all aspects of the current music syllabus, including teaching musical concepts (such as duration, pitch, dynamics, tone colour, texture and structure) as well as performance, composition, and reading and listening skills. I possess solid understanding of these concepts and skills in the context of various musical styles, periods and genres.

I am fully qualified, with a Bachelor of Education in Music, Major in Music Education and concentrating in Voice. With a background in music tutoring, I am also bonafide member of one of a world-class renowned choir - The Himig Singers.

I am proficient in chorale conducting, classical guitar and possess skills in piano and violin (grade 2) and a little knowledge with wood and brass instruments.

Throughout my teaching career, I have been driven to help students achieve their very best when it comes to performing. I strongly believe that music has the power to change lives – to enhance the social, cultural and spiritual lives of people, and serve as a profound medium of personal expression.
