I love helping people and organizations harness the power of effective communications. For many people, this means improving their English writing skills so they can produce clear, concise, and effective essays and business documents. In addition to teaching, my background includes 17 years working in professional communications and also volunteer experience as the VP communications for the Professional Writers Association of Canada, Toronto Chapter.
Honours Bachelor of Arts, Linguistics, York University, 1998
Certificate for Teaching English as an International Language, York University, 1998
Introduction to Learning and Teaching, George Brown College, 2015 (Training for contract faculty at the college.)
I teach Communications part-time at a community college. This has included teaching Business English and College English. I have tutored ESL students while I was in university. More recently I have organized and spoken at professional development events for freelance writers and nonprofit communications professionals.
