Many musicians I know & have met along the way have always said they find it hard to write lyrics to their songs, the music seems to flow through most of them easily but coming up with ideas for which their songs could be about is a harder task. I started off as a lyricist before I learned to play piano & guitar as words seemed to come more easily to me. I was always told if your lyric stands strong on its own, then adding music to it will just enhance it & I can help you in that area.
Ideas for the lessons:
Finding inspiration for your lyrics.
Which comes first, the lyrics or music.
Editing to make all parts fit.
Types of lyrics -storytelling, relationships, rock lyrics, about yourself etc.
A coffee break lyric or a 3 month long lyric (which to choose).
Knowing your audience.

I am Robert Douglas, I come from the UK & am looking to move to France with my wife. I have been playing piano & guitar for many years & enjoy the fact that anyone at any age can pick up an instrument & learn it, whether they want to become a rock star or just learning for their own pleasure. I enjoy being able to pass on my knowledge to others & have them find their own passion for it. Other interests aside from music include travelling, writing, movies, various sports (also of which I have taught), dancing, learning languages & bad jokes.
