Course description:

Curso orientado a impartir clases nivel avanzado, al tiempo que se narra la historia de Al-Andalus, con el establecimiento del Califato Omeya en Córdoba, y su influencia en la expansión del conocimiento en Europa. También se incluyen los avances de los reinos cristianos, con la llamada “Reconquista”

Der Kurs zielt darauf ab, Kurse für Fortgeschrittene zu unterrichten und gleichzeitig die Geschichte von Al-Andalus mit der Gründung des Umayyaden-Kalifats in Córdoba und dessen Einfluss auf die Wissenserweiterung in Europa zu erzählen. Vorstöße der christlichen Königreiche.

Teaching approach:

It isn’t just a course about Spanish language, although its main goal is the students improve their skills in that language, rather an extensive account of a period of history in Spain and Europe not enough known by the public. It also shows how in that time was possible that people with different background and religious beliefs lived together in peace and prosperity.
