Course description:

All levels of Russian: from beginner's to advanced, for all ages, adapted to your needs. Russian language for business, traveling, mating and culture. Russian literature and culture.

Teaching approach:

I teach Russian with a combination of the communicative approach and the traditional study of grammar. Russian classes are focused on mastering all aspects of the language, including enriching vocabulary, practicing in speaking, reading and building on the student's personal knowledge of Russian life and culture. I always make sure to adapt my teaching method to the student's goals and interests.

About the teacher

Graduate of the Moscow State Pedagogical University, I am a professional teacher of Russian Language and Literature. For over 20 years I have specialized in teaching literature and Russian as a Foreign Language to particulars and groups in commercial and academic institutions.

Working outside Russia and meeting interesting individuals so different from one other and yet so alike, allowed me to see the seemingly so familiar world of Russian culture in a new way. I felt its amazing ability to attract and unite people of different nationalities, ages and professions. The world of Russian culture and of the Russian language, as its component, is much deeper and more majestic than our traditional perception of it. The most interesting information lies on the surface, it just needs to be seen in the works of the classics of fiction, architecture, sculptures and paintings.

For those of you who are interested in the process of learning and restoring the forgotten and lost meanings of the Russian culture, I offer private Russian language and literature lessons. Students of all levels are welcome!

The lessons of Russian as a foreign language include the study of grammar, phonetics and vocabulary. The emphasis, however, is also placed on getting familiar with etymology, culture, history and literature. That being said, first and foremost, I take into account personal goals and interests of the student. An individual program is designed and study materials are provided.
