I put a strong emphasis on developing one's musical listening skills and less on tabs or any written notation. Although I teach those parts also, I think they should just be there to help you in the way but you should be able to learn a song or a solo only by ear also. My approach is also more creative and you will have to incorporate the stuff we learn in your music, which we will together evaluate and develop.

I am a 25-year old guitarist from Estonia. I moved to Berlin in September 2014 to study electronic music production in dB's Music Berlin. I studied pop-jazz guitar in Georg Otsa nimeline Tallinna muusikakool and graduated from it in 2013. I was an active freelance musician laying on albums and in different projects. I play electric guitar most of the time but can teach acoustic as well.
The main thing I like about teaching is that when when you have a shared passion for music with the student, you both can inspire each other. Because I had a really good teacher in my school I find it very important to pass my skills on to keep the craft alive. I think you can't learn guitar only from tabs and YouTube, because you have to have a person who is present when you are practising your techniques and can give you real-time information about your development. I teach different playing techniques, jazz theory, ear training and styles (rock, indie, pop, funk, soul, jazz, blues etc.).
At the moment one of my main interests is electronic music, which I am studying too and incorporating it into my own music. I also like literature, movies and good coffee.
