What do you like the most about teaching Greek?
A:

Greek culture is one of the oldest cultures in the world. My goal is to keep the Greek language alive and thriving for another five-thousand of years!

When did you start teaching Greek?
A:

I have 13 years of teaching experience in New York and in Greece, teaching Greek as a first and as a second language. I started teaching, when I was studying for my BSc in the University of Crete (CLASS 2012-Valedictorian).

In your experience, what are the most common reasons for wanting to learn Greek?
A:

The most common reason for wanting to learn Greek is somebody's heritage. Plus, the Greek culture is one of the most famous and oldest culture in the world! Who wouldn't love to learn Greek?

How difficult is it to learn Greek, compared to other languages?
A:

Nothing is difficult. The only difficulty is to find a great and professional teacher like me. I make the whole process interesting and easy, so you learn fast and with fun!

What aspects of Greek culture are your students usually interested in?
A:

1) Conversational dialogues.

2) Historical facts {hidden history, not what is written in the handbooks}.

3) Food.

4) Slang vocabulary.

5) Grammar, vocabulary & syntax.

What's the hardest part of being a Greek teacher?
A:

For somebody that loves her job, I don't find anything hard. The point is to understand you, so I can find the best ways to learn Greek!

What makes a good Greek student?
A:

A student who wants to learn, laugh and have fun, while learning Greek!

A:

What is your advice for students who are struggling?
A:

Just find the right instructor! Everything is chemistry!

How long does it take to become fluent in Greek?
A:

It depends on how much time you devote on this. Do you really want it? If so, I will direct you accordingly and you will love it!
