Hi. For start I recommend ¿Habla español? of the authors Teresa Méndez-Faith and Mary McVey Gill. I especially like it because it is easy to read, and above all, it brings you closer to the Hispanic culture. I also highly recommend reading comics books. It is very interesting because of the dialogues, vocabulary and expressions

Dearest lovely Spanish learners,
As Spanish beginners, I recommend the book called "Español para Extranjeros" by Ana Maria Maqueo. It is very simplistic, and also with the help of a teacher, you fill find the book more information and how we can communicate in this language, daily!
Hi there.
I can recommend you Aula Latina 1 and 2. Of course the second book is a bit more advanced but it might be a good challenge for you to improve your Spanish level.
Aula Latina 1 Curso de Español by María Elena Arévalo. Ed. DIFUSIÓN
Hola! I can recommend "La Alegría de Querer" by Jairo Anibal Niño. It is a poetry book read by natives at the Language class school curriculum in Colombia. The language of the book is basic y aesthetically useful for SFL / SSL beginner students. Also, I would advise you to book a trial lesson to work on biographies of several interesting people from the Spanish-speaking cultures and learn our language in a comprehensive and interesting way. Hasta pronto :)

I can recommend that you read these stories, they're fun, entertaining and you can switch from Spanish to English to fully understand- even if the word order it seems strange, as it does not match that of English: http://creolio.com
In your case, bilingual books should be good. Because in your level the main idea is getting on vocabulary. Here you are a link with some recommendations.

¡Hola!
Hello! If you're looking for a book for a beginner of Spanish, I recommend "The Little Prince" by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry.
This book is a short and charming story that is easy to understand for Spanish beginners. Additionally, the vocabulary used is simple yet rich in emotions and feelings, which allows for a better understanding of the language and an emotional connection with the plot.
"The Little Prince" is also a very popular and well-known book worldwide, making it an excellent choice to start familiarizing oneself with Hispanic culture and literature. I hope you enjoy the reading!
You mean like a novel? I don't know your proficiency but I could recommend the Spanish version of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry ("El principito") and the Spanish version of Robert Fisher "El caballero de la armadura oxidada". But they might be hard depending on your actual level. If you tell me more maybe I can help you.
I think that with kid's books, you can improve your knowledge. Step by Step! Good Luck!
Literatura infantil es lo mejor para comenzar.
Greetings, I'm not too savvy with "beginners books" for Spanish. You may try with children's books or if you have at least a A2 level you may look for Gustavo Adolfo Béquer's "Leyendas", "Cuentos Y Leyendas de América Latina" -Gloria Cecilia Diaz, "De la Selva y otros cuentos"- Horacio Quiroga. Not all short stories are going to be easy to read, since Latin American literature developed this genre in a very sophisticated way.
All the best, Denise
You can search "libros de lectura para 3º de primaria". They are light readings with vocabulary begginer/middle level.
Anyways, I would recommend finding a tutor until you have a more advanced level. It is very difficult to properly learn a language without a guidance for contextualizing the expressions and all :)
Hi there,
Just get in your hands any kind of materials (in Spanish) of your choice, wether movies, comics, books, videos, apps, it does not matter, the more interested you are in a topic, the more you will learn the new langauge.
Cheers!
You could use a textbook called "Vistas". It has a lot of readings and they change difficulty as you advance in the units.
It depends on how far have you been on your learning process. So far, the first book that comes to my mind is “The little prince”… It is certainly not a Spanish book, and I rather prefer to work with native books, but as a beginner, it may be difficult to find a native book for adults that is not too long nor has been modified or adapted.
While The little prince has a very good Spanish translation and is not too long.
Otherwise, there are some books for young teens that may be also interesting.
Please let me know if you would be interested in reading books for teens and then I can suggest one or 2. ☺️
I hope this information was useful.
Here are some book suggestions for you:
1. **"La casa de los conejos"** by Laura Ávila: A simple and emotional story.
2. **"El principito"** by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry: A classic with poetic yet simple language.
These books are perfect for improving your comprehension and vocabulary.
There are many great textbooks and methods for learning Spanish. Generally, these books should always be supplemented with other materials, but I could recommend, for example, AULA INTERNACIONAL. If you’re looking for something simple, very easy to follow, and effective, you could try NUEVO ELE INICIAL 1. Best wishes, and good luck with your Spanish.
I recommend 5 easy-to-read books for Spanish students with engaging plots:Violeta de Isabel Allende, La casa en Mango street de Sandra Cisneros, Patagonia Express de Luis Sepúlveda, La buena letra de Rafael Chirbes and El tiempo entre costuras de María Dueñas.

A fantastic collection of short stories designed for beginner learners with helpful vocabulary and comprehension questions.
- "Cuentos de la selva" – by Horacio Quiroga
A collection of simple but entertaining animal stories originally written for children, making it a great choice for language learners.

- "Papelucho" – by Marcela Paz
