Could you build a house without walls? Make a mousaka without the thick cream on top? That's the equivalent of trying to by-pass the alphabet in any language learning, simply because without it you won't have access to the knowledge!
Alongside basic grammar and syntax, the alphabet is necessary to not only start understanding how greek works but also so that you can become an independent user of the language in time. :D

It is necessary to include the alphabet and how to read Greek in your very first steps of learning. The Greek alphabet is the base of Roman alphabet. Knowing Greek will help you learn other European languages, such as French, English or Italian more easily.
Yes, learning a language is a multidimensional experience, consisted of reading, writing, speaking and listening.
Well, I believe it is, in order to understand the letters you use, but you can speak without knowing.

Hello! Ya su! Γεια σου!
By learning Greek, you can get a deeper understanding of European history and culture. The Greek alphabet is the base of the Roman alphabet. Knowing Greek will help you learn other European languages, and also estimated twelve percent of the English vocabulary has Greek origins. It's not necessary to learn the Greek alphabet if you don't want to but it would be really difficult to read messages, menu and letters too. I would be really happy to teach you and i can promise that you will be able to start reading in about 3-5 classes. It's fun to learn the greek alphabet and it's simple like math :)

The simple answer is yes! Greek is an alphabet based language. Each letter has a specific sound attached to it , so by learning the alphabet its relatively easy to start reading (even if you don't understand exactly the content) which will improve your pronunciation in the long term.
In my opinion yes . It is necessary.
While there's no strict requirement, I recommend learning the Greek alphabet. It aids in reading, offers an additional practice approach, and enhances your understanding of grammar and syntax.
It is not necessary to learn the alphabet before we start our lessons. The first lessons will cover how to read and write the alphabet in Greek! In case you only want to learn oral Greek, you have to remember that learning a language only in speaking terms is different and sometimes more difficult for you, because it is harder to find contexts in order to use Greek.
In the first lesson you will learn the alphabet. In that way you can read the words and learn them.
It is necessary but it is also fun!
No it isn't necessary and it is always depends on the needs and goals of each student. Although is a useful tool in order to understand the greek language and be more confident in reading and writing the Greek Language.
Yes, it is very important to learn Greek illiteracy and the pronunciation of the letters
You need to recognise the letters to move forward. The Greek alphabet is different and there are no Latin letters. You can learn the alphabet and next to each letter you can have words as examples to understand how each letter is pronounced

It's not necessary to know how to pronounce each letter on its own, but if you want to be able to read and speak and recognize, yes. But of course, there is no need to be familiar with the Greek alphabet before starting to learn Greek, absolutely not. That's why we, tutors, are here. You only need to enroll, we will learn together.
Yes!
Yes it is necessary and it is very imoprtant as the pronunciation is a little dificult in the begining.
Although it is suggested, if you want fast results and you want to learn just conversational Greek, for example for vacation in Greece, yo duo not need to learn the alphabet. The Greek alphabet though is super easy, if you know how to teach it.
Yes, of cource!
It is necessary to learn the sound of every letter so to start to combine them together.
Nαι. Το ελληνικό αλφάβητο διαφέρει αρκετά από το λατινικό, ως προς τον τρόπο γραφής των γραμμάτων αλλά και την προφορά τους. Για να γίνει πιο εύκολη η ανάγνωση, ο μαθητής θα πρέπει να έχει σίγουρα την γνώση του ελληνικού αλφάβητου.
I would describe it as necessary, yes. However do not be afraid. It has a lot of common ground with the Latin alphabet and half of the European languages, so it is not going to be such a difficult task. Usually it takes students 1-2 weeks to master it.
Of course you must learn the alphabet because you will not understand many of the grammar rules
It is necessary both for the pronunciation of the words and letter recognition in reading and writing.
Of course
If you want to learn to write and read, then yes!
It’s very easy and can be learned in one week with systematic practice and repetition, but I ll take care of that!
It is very useful to familiarise yourself with the alphabet. The alphabet is very similar to the latin alphbet and we will go through it together, if necessary. But, we can use romanization (or greeklish) when we start learning.
If you dont now Greek, the first thing is to learn the alphabet and the pronunciation. But it is not something difficult!
In order to learn greek language is necessary to learn first the greek alphabet
Not, if you don't want to. On the other hand, it is a really interesting pursuit!
Yes, it helps a lot :-)
absolutely necessary:)
Of course! The A1- A2 level courses include the learning of alphabet!
Without knowing the Greek alphabet, you won't be able to read, write, or pronounce words correctly. Think about it – how can you read a date, a sign, or a menu if you don't know the letters? Learning the alphabet is your first step toward understanding the whole language!
Hello, yes but we don't have to emphasize on that. Greek alphabet is necessary in order to learn how to read and speak but I don't believe in focusing on that too much, like when we were kids and we were learning the alphabet obsessively.
Only if you want to learn how to write or read.
