This course can cover the learner's need to focus on the literature of any eras from Geoffrey Chaucer's *Beowulf* to Joshua Whitehead's *Full-Metal Indigiqueer*; or different genres, including poetry, fiction, theory, and drama.
Through a combination of reading and troubleshooting, pre-recorded lectures, exercises, and online discussions, we can examine the key concepts, and intellectual and aesthetic movements shaping English literature and thinking of the Old and Middle Ages through the Restoration, Romantic, and Victorian eras, followed by 20th and 21st centuries. The course will develop your skills in literary and critical analysis, and research. No prior knowledge of literature required, though appreciated!

A passionate scholar and educator based in Montreal, Quebec with a diverse and extensive academic background, I earned two PhD’s, in English from McGill University, Canada and in English Language and Literature from the University of Isfahan, Iran, and bring over 16 years of experience teaching both English and Persian to hundreds of students. My diverse background conjoining language exchange and joint PhD programs, francisation, and academic contribution as a lecturer and ESL instructor offer a strong foundation in language teaching methodologies, making me adept at addressing challenges and implementing tailored strategies for student success.
